Why Modular Synth Riot?

We fully agree. There is nothing like watching somebody create live electronic music with a modular synth. Why not? Well, in all the editions of MSR so far, there has never been two performances that sound anything alike. When the musician does the effort of building a modular setup, they are driven by a curiosity about the sonic possibilities of electronic music. Recreating what has already been done, is perhaps a gentle first step, but from there on, it’s beyond, beyond beyond.
